Honoring Maurice Herzog: Statue Unveiled at Annapurna First Base Camp

अन्नपुर्ण प्रथम मा सर्वप्रथम १९५० जुन ३ मा आरोहण गर्ने फ्रेन्च नागरिक मौरिस हर्जोगको शालिक परराष्ट्र मन्त्रि नारायण काजी श्रेष्ठ र अन्नपूर्ण गाऊॅपालिका म्याग्दीका अध्यक्ष भारत कुमार पुन ले अनावरण गरेपछि अन्नपूर्ण आधार शिविर नारच्याड० म्याग्दीमा एक कार्यक्रम गरी स्थपना गरियो|

प्रस्तुत विषयका संवन्धमा यही जेठ २१ गते अन्नपूर्ण दिवस मनाईएको ,प्रथम हिमाल आरोहीको शालिक बनाईएको ,पोखरामा प्रदर्शन गरीएको ,अनाबरण पनि गरिएको अन्नपूर्ण ४ नारच्याड० म्याग्दी लगायत वडाका बासिन्दाहरु पनि सहभागी भएको ,शालिक अनावरण गरे पछि म्याग्दी अन्नपूर्ण मा लगेर base camp मा राख्ने कार्य गर्ने गर्दा सम्म नेपाल सरकार पर्यटन वोर्डले १ रूपैया पनि लगानी नगरेको व्यहोरा जानकारी गराउदछु/ ईत्यादी खर्च स्थानीय चन्दा सहयोग बाट गरिएको जानकारी गराऊदछु /नेपाल सरकारले विनियोजन गरेको ४०/८० लाख रुपैया कहा कसरी खर्च गरियो मलाई होईन संवन्धित कार्यलय नेपाल पर्यटन वोर्ड बाटै जानकारी लिनु हुन अनुरेध गर्दछु|

A statue of the French national Maurice Herzog, who was the first to climb Annapurna I on June 3, 1950, was unveiled by Foreign Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Bharat Kumar Pun, Chairman of Annapurna Rural Municipality, Myagdi. Following the unveiling, the statue was installed at a ceremony held at Annapurna Base Camp in Narchyang, Myagdi.

Regarding the information!!!

In relation to the presented topic, please be informed that on the 21st of Jestha, Annapurna Day was celebrated, during which a statue of the first climber was made and exhibited in Pokhara. The unveiling ceremony was also conducted with participation from residents of Ward No. 4, Narchyang, Myagdi, and other wards. After unveiling the statue, it was transported and placed at the base camp in Annapurna, Myagdi. It is to be noted that the Nepal Tourism Board did not invest a single rupee in this endeavor. All expenses were covered through local donations and support.

I also request you to seek detailed information from the Nepal Tourism Board regarding how and where the government-allocated 40/80 lakh rupees were spent, as I do not have that information.
